Dadu District


Dadu is a district of Sindh Province, Pakistan. Dadu district was created in 1931 by the British Indian administration by merging Kotri and Kohistan talukas from Karachi district and Mehar, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Dadu, Johi and Sehwan talukas from Larkana district.Before 2004 Dadu was the largest district of Sindh which comprised of 7 talukas including taluka Kotri, taluka Sehwan and taluka Jamshoro,along with taluka Dadu,taluka Kherpur Nathan Shah,taluka Mehar and taluka Johi. But after 2004 a separate district was made named Jamshoro and 3 talukas were separated from Dadu District and joined with jamshoro district named taluka jamshoro,taluka sehwan, taluka kotri.
